Algemene Informatie

Explore Land of the Tiger and admire the four Amur Tigers who call this award winning 3000m sq land their home. Land of the Tiger is home to four Amur Tigers. These tigers were born in Kolmarden djurpark Zoo in Sweden and arrived at Chessington in 2018. The Four Tigers housed here are called Tsar who is a 14 male, Olga and Kyra who are 13 year old females and Kalinka who is a 11 year old female. Amur Tigers are the largest of the 6 remaining subspecies of Tiger, males can weigh over 200 Kilos, whilst females are smaller at around 130kg. The Tigers all share one parent in common but Olga and Kyra are sisters from the same litter! The Tigers love to rest up high and can often be seen in the overhead trails or on the enclosure platforms. The Tigers are identified by defining stripes on their faces, nose markings and body size. You can find photos of the individuals dotted around the enclosures. If you want to get closer to the Tigers and learn more about them then speak to our VIP Experience Team!
