Originally built in 1925 for the Excelsior Amusement Park located on Lake Minnetonka, the Carousel made its way to Valleyfair after the park closed. Climb on and grab the reins on one of the forty-eight antique horses or a select chariot seat before you embark on a whimsical journey. This ride even provides a great place to cool off in a shaded area for those scorching summer days. Enjoy the charm of riding a genuine antique horse on this classic and timeless ride. A ride on the Carousel is undoubtedly a favorite for all ages. After all, riding a dazzling stallion is sure to leave a lasting impression on anyone. Who doesn't remember their first ride on a carousel? Located near the entrance of the park, make sure to make this your first stop of the day. Riders must be 46" tall to ride alone OR accompanied by a supervising companion. Handheld infants must ride in a chariot.
