Red-tailed Hawk

You've probably heard the call of a red-tailed hawk. Whenever you see a hawk or eagle on television or in a movie, no matter what the species, the raspy scream of the red-tail is almost always used. Has anyone ever told you that you have eyes like a hawk? What a compliment! Hawks' eyesight is up to 8 times sharper than ours. We can see a grasshopper from 30 feet away, but a hawk can spot one from 100-240 feet away!
